I saw the Chic one on TV recently. Jerry Barnes sounds great!

'Legends'.

Eric Clapton on guitar (he's ok but IMO they should have had someone else. there's a story as to why he's with them though so i guess that makes it ok, lol.)

David Sanborn on sax, Marcus Miller on bass, Steve Gadd on drums and Joe Sample on keys. Awesome lineup.

Also George Clinton live at montreaux. P-Funk; need I say more?

My Favourites-

Mingus At Montreux-
...seeing how Don Pullen plays that **** was cool.

Average White Band At Montreux-
...this was in the '70s so it was before the David Foster/slick production crap that AWB were soon to put out.

I have a CD-R of a Legends' live performace...I've had it almost 10 years now.
I hope the DVD is better 'cause that cd I have is pretty lame.
...and I know they can sound good-There's that "Use Me" cover by D'Angelo with the Legends band on youtube
(Although Clapton's solo is about as weak as I have ever heard coming from him).

Al Di Meola 1986, Clarke/Ponty/Di Meola 1994, Dixie Dregs 1978, and Chick Corea Elektric Band 2004 are all great. Also The Mahavishnu Orchestra's performances in 74 and 84 are cool. Are there any plans for the Billy Cobham/George Duke band performance from 1976 to be released on DVD?

Have to agree there. Pullen was a monster. If I remember correctly he dislocates a finger on that one from playing so hard.
