Best music book

Sign in to disble this ad
Xmas is comeing and I haven't got a "want" list.
So what are the best books? Not necessarily a bass book or a tutorial but a music book and a good read.

For instance: "The idiots guide to Jazz" (except I'm more a soul and funk guy), "My bass and other animals".

Ideas?

I'm currently reading "Guitar Man" by Will Hodgkinson. It's about a 30-something family man's quest to go from a total noob to playing live in six months. I'm only about 80 pages into it so far, but it's a good read. The author interacts with quite a collection of characters just in the first couple of months of his journey. It's a fun book.
