Best music stores in Long beach/Anaheim?

Sign in to disble this ad
Sorry in advance for not knowing where to post this. I am heading down to Long beach and Anaheim tonight for the weekend, and being from Salt Lake City, I rarely get the chance to go shoping for high end basses. Ig anyone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
thanks
Frank

Skip the stores, there is one in Fullerton but I forget the name, that is decent. Instead, call ahead and see if the guys at G&L will let you see Leo's office!

They don't do "tours", but if you are nice they will let you peak into his office, which to this day sits exactly like it was the day before he passed.

my $.02

Probably your best bet for high-end electrics is about an hour from Long Beach--it's the Amp Shop (Bass Exchange) in Sherman Oaks: bassexchange.com

An hour from Long Beach to the Valley is a bit optimistic but Bass Exchange is probably your best bet for high end basses. There's a dearth of good music stores in Anaheim. In Long Beach, you might want to stop by World of Strings. I haven't been there in years so I couldn't tell how much "high end" gear they carry.

+1 on Bass Exchange. You'll be driving for about 2.5 hrs, though

I was just at world of strings a couple of weeks ago; if you're already in the area, it's worth stopping by. There's a glass-encased shelf with some high-end stuff, along with a large room of double basses. Aside from that, they've got generally some midrange stuff in there
