Best new band for bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
Okay I'd like to get you guys' opinion: I had a music debate with my friend from umgd about the best new band that prominently features bass guitar. We didn't come to a consensus, but I think the band Delta Spirit is the winner.

I heard their songs on Myspace.com/DeltaSpirit, and i love how they incorporate drums with bass - how they complement each other. it says their album Ode to Sunshine comes out Aug. 26th, so I'm excited for that
(hopefully I can see them on this current tour too).

Anyways, what new band do you think best exemplifies good bass playing?

I'd say a rhythm section is crap if the bass and drums don't compliment each other. Nature of the instruments say they better be on the same page.

Cool band tho, thx for the find.

There can be only one answer to this question. The new band SMV. Have you heard their debut album?

"Good bass playing" would be a monumental understatement.

( check out the membership of SMV, you'll see why they win!)

this has got to be the lamest thread ever. why didnt you just ask pick or fingerstyle?
or what is the best music ever. on a bass forum you gotta be more specific when looking for new music with good bass. there is a LOT of it. more than you can comprehend. or i for that matter.
