I have heard some sites, if you call (rather than order online) you can get discounts, regardless of current offers. Anyone have any luck with this? Any sites better than others, or are they pretty much all the same?

Any other strategies for getting just a little better deal?

I've never had any problem getting MF to through in some freebies, strings, polish, straps, etc. Also if they screw up an order and you call customer service they will give you some in house credit towards another purchase, usually $20 or so. I've gotten $20 credits a few times and used them to buy things I needed.
