Best tuner pedal?

Sign in to disble this ad
Basically Im looking for a tuner pedal thats going to keep my signal 100% pure. Ive looked at the T-2, but knowing boss, Im sure Im paying to much for something tat isnt particularly better then any competitor.

I have a Planet Waves pedal. It's really easy to see and you could use it for self defense.

But is your signal basically untouched? Im a huge stickler about my tone, and I dont wanna do anything to take even the slightest bit of depth out of it.

I'll second that, the planet waves pedal tuner is fabulous. Quasi strobe mode is nice, although it can become a bit misleading when the battery is low. Built to withstand a direct torpedo hit - mine was knocked from a height and smashed through a pint glass, not a scrape on it!

Korg Pitchblack gets my vote. Best display of any tuner I've had.

I doubt it would make any noticeable difference in tone.

Does it accept a 9v DC adapter?

I know this sounds ridiculous, but I think it easily could. I mean, I can tell the difference between mogami and monster cables (mogami obviously being the better of the 2)

If you can hear that difference, then get the Turbo Tuner. Also, please for pete's sake UTFSF. But even if you don't, the answer is still Turbo Tuner.

I believe he's going for "Use The F-ing Search Function."

Also, I'm really digging my Planet Waves tuner.

The new Hardwire one from Digitech is really good. +/- 1 cent and true bypass. Plus a cool strobe mode! And a blue LED!

If you can detect really small changes in tone I would try some out before buying. As for me, I play in a loud trio and just don't hear any difference. Any tone changes (if any) are far outweighed by the convenience and ease of use.

Same boat and am shopping for the Korg. Always well reviewed, rated top line for tuning accuracy, and an awesome display. Planet Waves seems great on paper and cheaper, but gets dinged in some reviews for some very breakable plastic parts on the pedal portion even though the bulk of it is metal. I also haven't been able to find any reviews for it's accuracy.

check this video out. If my PlanetWaves one didn't do a really nice job for me i would get this one in a heart beat. So i guess my vote goes for PWaves and the Turbo tuner.
