Beth Hart & Jeff Beck - I'd Rather go Blind

Kennedy Center Honors Buddy Guy.

The best music I have heard in a very long time.

If they post the vid on YouTube I will definitely link it here.

Wow!

Jimmy Page's face: lovin' that Jeff Beck guitar playin'.

Jeff can do no wrong, and Beth did lots right! Dug the Zep Tribute as well, especially the Wilson sisters doing Stairway To Heaven. She and Lenny Kravitz were the only ones who did their material justice IMO.

Awesome. I only became aware of Beth Hart recently due to some of the XM radio stations playing her 'LA song', which is totally killer. She is the real deal. Wonderful performance! Thanks for posting.

Buddy Guy is the reason I got into the blues 40 some years ago. Been a fan since and have even had the opportunity to jam with him on a couple of occasions.
Beth Hart- words are not enough, what a singer. --http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTgiFc8Vo-c----http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcLqOfMuEIs

But the Foo Fighters didn't do it for me.

Beth Hart cleaned up really well, and showed a lot of class in her appearance. She still looked tough as hell.

As soon as she started singing, I was totally hot for her.

She's the real deal.

I just downloaded all her albums, and am very happy to have found a "new" artist, (for me that's anyone newer than 1980,) to experience.

I will check out her stuff with Bonamassa, too.

Beth Hart is dating Joe Bonamassa. She tours mostly in Europe. Her bass player is a great player named Tom Lily. He lived across the hall from me in the dorm at NT when we were there back in the olden days.

Yeah, she is also on his live at the Beacon DVD. She's been around a bit, I remember covering LA Song is a cover band over ten years ago.

That song was great. But I have to admit I'm not much of a BH fan.

This Tom Lily, would he be that awesome bass player that was wearing a suit and nice hat that was playing during the Buddy Guy tribute stuff

After looking on line, it appears that it was the Rob Mathes Band that backed these stars up. I believe Will Lee of David Letterman Show / Paul Schaffer's Orchestra is who plays with this band. That sure looks like this Will Lee fellow with a goatee that is laying the groove for Beck, Clark, Raitt, and Beth Hart. Any know if this is Will Lee and what kind if bass that is that he is playing?
