Big, bold, happy, positive R&B/Funk?

I love songs like EWF's "Shining Star" and "In The Stone", Stevie Wonder's "I Wish" and "Sir Duke", the Isley Brothers' "It's Your Thing", and Fishbone's "Everyday Sunshine." Can anyone point me to today's R&B/Funk bands and artists that play original songs like these? Bonus points for bands with killer horn sections!

a big +1.

Also look into the Brand New Heavies. They've been around for a long time, but I love their tunes. Great bass playing, horns, everything and also on the positive tip. "Shelter" is a good record to start with.

Thanks, guys; keep 'em comin'! I love my old-school, but I'm always on the lookout for new stuff.

Sly's definitely one of my old-school faves, but I'm looking for new stuff that's similar.

Do G Love & Special Sauce or Jamiroquai count? Maybe Ozomatli?
