Is this thread only for bass specific software and/or recording stuff? How about MP3 stuff and such?

Sweet!

OK, here is a nice MP3 tag editor. It's freeware and works very well. http://www.volny.cz/media-tagger/eng/index.html

Among other things, lets you convert just about any audio file type to another. I've had this one in my audio program toolkit for years.

check out www.renegademinds.com for the guitar & drum tutor.

i think you can still get a free "crippled" copy that is more than useable. basically this is an online version of the
Tasam CD player...

Is there any way to just have a drum machine that already has grooves in it?
Because i used hammer head and hydrogen but my creating skills are fairly limited and it sounds crap. So are there any pre-programmed drum machines out there?

Don't suppose you'd have any idea if that would work to backup up V bass files onto a laptop?

Also does anyone know if audacity has sequencing in it?

Anyway, here's another sequencer link I ran across:

A collection of MIDI Sequencing software - freeware, shareware, and demos - which you can download for free. Platforms include Windows, Macintosh

http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/MIDI_SEQUENCERS/

Here's another link that some other software (recording, MP3) in addition to sequencer:

Not a clue.

Audacity has no sequencer.

I just got Audacity and it looks great but it will only let me record 2 tracks at once. My interface has 6 tracks, how do I tell it to record them all simultaneously?

http://www.tuxguitar.com.ar/
free cross-platform tab editor and playback (any platform that supports Java 1.5 (Linux, Mac OSX, or MS windows)). Supports gp3, gp4, & gp5 files and can write to them. Also imports and exports to midi. Prints sheet music and displays scores along with the tab. You can input/edit via the stave or tab line or using a fretboard or a keyboard on the screen.

But it's not free. Here's the free version (with much less features, of course).
