Bill Dickens (Pasadena Bass day)

I never have heard Bill Dickens play in a musical context, mostly clips and a NAMM booth in which he was demonstrating his devastating slap technique. But I saw him yesterday at the Pasadena Bass day with a band, and he was unbelievable ! Very musical, ungogly chops, and groove at a level that it hit my soul ! He is a great player, not just chops. Also a very very cool and nice man ! I am a fan now ! It was a great day, many bassists there enjoying the show. Met John Pena, a very very cool nice cat, and overall I give it 4 out of 5 stars !
