Bipolar music appreciation

Alright I have to ask because I'd like to know if anyone has any experience with this. Sometimes I think all music is absolute garbage except for a couple of my favorite bands. But now, as in since about two hours ago, I cannot find a song that I don't like. I'm not on any drug whatsoever. I'm curious to see if there are any Bipolar music listeners out there and what you think of this.

i definately experience this. one hour im thinking that BAD RELIGION is the only music thats good, then the next im listening to beatles, pink floyd, metallica, megadeth, and sublime and just loving it. I dont mind it except for the fact that i find myself switching from the same set of flats to the same set of rounds alot since i only have one bass lol.

I can usually find something..a cool progression,off-beat accents, tricky composer,etc..something that I can appreciate in a song, regardless of my opinion of the song as a whole...except for Bieber, who just makes my head hurt.

Yup, I go through this where I listen to nothing but bootlegs of Nirvana on their last 1994 tour, or STP live or unplugged, or Cliff Burton's live bass solos and think there's nothing better than this. Then I take a walk or go out into my truck and hear something like Rihanna on the radio then find myself wanting to hear more. Like the other day when listened to about an hours worth of 80's dance and Madonna type music; just blaring it out my trucks speakers. My friend came out and saw me zoned out to "99 Red Balloons" and gave me quite the "What the f@CK?" face.

I think it's just your mind craving a difference. IMO, when I go from nothing from distortion, screaming, and just wild music, sometimes Hip-Hop beats, clean singing, and Pop music comes as a welcomed change to my ears.
