*sigh*

they are too old, i'm sorry.

They aren't relevant anymore.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Black Sabbath. The first 6 original albums are absolutely classic, and are some of my all-time favorite albums EVER.

But they are SO far past their prime that it's just embarrassing now. Hell, it was embarrassing 10 years ago when they began reunion touring with Ozzfest. To go see a bunch of 60+ year olds playing young mens music isn't entertaining to me. Some of the members must need money bad or something.

Thats not nice to say about Ozzy's wife. Perhaps you were referring to his bulldog? Or his daughter whose fiance recently left her for a transgendered woman?

Sorry to say, but there are certain energy levels that go with playing fast and heavy music.

You can't tell me that Black Sabbath play with the same amount of energy and gusto as they did when they were in their mid-20s. I've seen them, they don't.

I wasn't trying to be Politically Correct, I have nothing against older people so DON'T EVEN TRY TO PUT THOSE WORDS IN MY MOUTH.

I'm exited because I'm 16 and otherwise would have never seen these guys. Wish Led Zeppelin would get back together so I could see them.

Love Sabbath, but for me Dio will always be the better front man.

I agree. I wish could have seen him...

Same here. Would also love to see "Dio's Disciples."

I saw Black Sabbath live in 1973 and have been a fan ever since. I definitely favor the early years with Ozzy and the original lineup.

Coming from a point of someone who doesn't really like metal I do enjoy the early sabbath (sabbath-sabbath bloody sabbath). If ticket prices were reasonable I would be interested in checking this out.

I saw their last gig before this reunion, at Ozzfest in Florida, September 4th, 2005 (my 12th birthday!) back when all I knew was Iron Man and Paranoid, so I'm well up for this! On the strength of the writing on The Devil You Know and Ozzy's voice on the last album he did, I think this'll be a stonking album.

Mmmmm. I think a fan's money would be better spent on supporting the loads of bands in the stoner/doom genre that Sabbath spawned than paying what's probably going to be big dough seeing these guys.

Not to bash Sabbath, but they've already made their dough.

Go help the youngsters gas up the van.

No Bonham = no Led Zep.

I saw Sabbath in 99 for my 18th birthday. I'm curious to hear a new album but I wonder if they'll follow up Iron Man with a song called Iron Wheelchair.

You can always re-enter through the back door.

I wish Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and Jimmy Page would get together and make a project that celebrates the music of Led Zeppelin. Better?

OK...still, someone needs to bang on the cans.

There are some very good videos of Zeppelin in their heyday out there.
Some are commercially-available.
I recall seeing some quality early B&W footage from Denmark (IIRC) on youtube.

Not as intense an experience as actually being there...I know.
