I think you might have the terminology wrong:
The notes in a blues scale are, e.g., in the key of C:
C-Eb-F-F#/Gb-G-Bb-C
Or:
Root, -3, 4, #4/b5, 5, -7, Root/Octave.
Or:
Minor pentatonic scale with a raised 4th or flat 5th.
