Hi.

The only blues I know is Eric Clapton, SRV, and B.B King. Could you please recommend any blues band or musician that is NOT Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray, or King?

Thanks!

Start with Albert King, and work your way through to Z.Z. Hill.

Yeah, listen to this guy! He comes across as being kinda "Challenged", but he does have the word "Blues" in his screen name. Plus he's from Texas!

There are some great contemporary Blues men on the scene, like Robert Cray, Keb Mo, and Kenny Neal. But be sure you listen to the legends that inspired them. Like Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, BB King, Albert King, Albert Collins, Hound Dog Taylor, and Lightnin Hopkins.

If you know Clapton, then you might already know Johh Mayall(worth checking out if you dont). Other names/bands I'd recommend would be :

Paul Butterfield, Taj Mahal, Johnny Winter, Freddy King, Ten Years After, Peter Green, Roomful of Blues, and Alexis Korner.

Happy listening !!

Good lists, guys.

Let us not overlook one very important blues icon.

Willie Dixon.

Well, nobody mentioned Joe Bonamassa. If you really want a good variety listen to "Bluesville" on Sirius/XM.

Jimi Hendrix - Blues is my all time favorite blues cd.

As for other blues artists... T-Model Ford, R.L. Burnside, The Blues Brothers, and there are tons more but this should be good fer now.
