Alright I'll jump in.
AKG C1000s, nice condenser mic, works great for a lot of things especially acoustic stuff. About $150 new.

I think I'd use my Rode NT-5 matched pair. Or perhaps a couple Shure Beta 57s. Also consider Audix D2s.
