... Booker T?

Sign in to disble this ad
I found a band by the name of Booker T last night while my girlfriend was channel-hopping.. They were playing at some Folk Festival in the south of england somewhere, and I found I really liked their stuff, especially the rapping rasta drummer.. So. Can anyone show me the way to Booker T enlightenment? Key tunes, or maybe any albums they've done? For the record I specifically remember the song named Limbo Soul (or Soul Limbo, one of the two), and for those who know whcih show i'm on about, the song before that song in the setlist.

Well, I know it's a bit vague that, but those who know the band should know what i'm on about

Eh, possibly. The bassist plays a black Fender-bass, single coil deal. Drummer's a black guy with dreads. Two guitarists and a keyboardist too.

Booker T (of booker t and the MGs fame) has a new album out called Potato Hole that uses drive-by truckers as his backing band, with a little bit of dylan thrown in on a couple songs. Could very well have been him. I mean, how many Booker Ts can there be?

Booker T and the MGs has been around since the 1960's. Check wikipedia:

I don't know if it's the same band, though.

... Yeh, I think so. That big wrestler guy looks like the drummer I saw, so wrestler-turned-drummer/singer?

Huh. Well I'll keep having a look round, check out the MG's, but in the meantime, I think Richard Bona shall serve me well

Well, maybe that drummer could team up with Bob Babbit. Babbit quit the music biz for a while and worked as pro wrestler!
