Boss drum machines

Sign in to disble this ad
I would like to get a drum machine with tons of pre-set patterns (mostly rock oriented) for jamming along. There are lots of Boss machines on Ebay. Anybody have any specific recommendations or tips on which ones to avoid?

Thanks,
Bob

Before plunking the cash on a drum machine, check out Band in a Box. It's a program that lets you create chord progressions and will play them back in a wide range of styles.

Best of all, you can add or remove accompanying instruments and leave just the drums (or just the bass if you want to transcribe the computer generated basslines that can be quite tasteful.)

More info at http://www.band-in-a-box.com/
