I'm back working in the financial district in Boston, MA after a short stint contracting down in Cranston, RI.
My question for you is, where is there a good store near me where I can check out gear during my lunch break? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There's Guitar Center on Comm. Ave, and Daddy's Junky Music over near Berklee... I've never been to that Guitar Center, but Daddy's isn't that great, only about 15 basses there with most of them being entry level stuff. Supposedly, that Guitar Center has a huge selection of instruments, so it may be worth a visit.

The Guitar Center off the green line over by BU is fantastic. Last time I was there they had a '61 Fender Jazz in CAR with matching headstock. Lots of everything there

Try Rock City Music in Somerville.
Cambridge Music in Porter Sq.
Brockton Guitar Works, it's 30 min south of Boston, in Brockton.
Plus the GC on Comm. Ave.
