Boston needs a bass specialty store.

Most areas of the country have one, why not Boston? I would guess a bass specialty store would do fairly well here. If Atalnta, New Orleans, Austin, and Tempe have them why not Boston. It's so hard to find good bass equip in New England anyways, so why not?

What about Boston Guitar Works? They used to have a fair share of good stuff, and their site lists a lot of premium makers.

Brockton is a long way from Boston. Heath closed the Boston store years ago. It was not open all that long. I bought my old Danelectro and a bunch of other things in that store.

OTOH Upton has a store in Boston.
