broken monster cable, now what?

Sign in to disble this ad
about 6 months ago, while jamming, one of the onlookers was walking by my board and lost his balance on steped right on the jack of the monster cable while it was in a stomp box. so the jack is at an angel now, but its been working fine for the past 6 months, but past couple days, its been acting funny and today it just died on me.

i hear that i could take it into a music store and get it replaced for free? is this true?

That's what the rumor is.

I consider it too much of a hassle to spend the time/gas money to replace a cable free. I do my own repairs, but since you damaged the jack, it'd cost more to replace the jack than gas money. Any Monster dealer should replace it free of charge with a reciept from what I hear. Some will do it without reciept.

Send it back to Monster, they should replace it.

That is one of the GOOD things about GC. Just go to your local GC (no reciept needed, IIRC) and ask for an exchange.

its a cabel,

probably one of the most expensive brands of cable. and ontop of that, they are advertised to last forever and will be replaced for free if they ever stop working
