His guitar playing is awesome. I saw him during the last GnR tour. He dominates the guitar.

I think he has a great gimmick, too. He can 'be' Buckethead whenever he wants, yet go out in public and no one knows who he is.

I have a friend who met him once. I don't remember much other than that he is a relatively normal person outside of costume and has a rather mundane name... I think Brian, Paul or something along those lines.

Define Normal.

But he's hilarious.

He was in a band called Praxas with Bootsy Collins, my teacher played me a bit and it sounds just as off its head as anything hes done. He is mad.

Correct.

Buckethead really first came to fame from his work with Laswell and a bunch of Laswell produced projects.. From there, he's become more of a mainstream player.

I've only heard him on clips of the new GNR on YouTube and the ballad of bucket head. IMO great chops, but no feeling.

No feeling?.... You've only heard one Buckethead song. Buckethead is one of the most dynamic players alive. His music has some of the funkiest articulation out there. Check out some of the Bucket of Bernie Brains stuff or try to catch him live at some point. Or catch him in the Wavetwisters movie, or some of the Praxis catalog. He might not be for everyone, but to say he plays with no feeling just makes you sound like you don't know what you're talking about.

A) Maybe he just feels things different.

B) Number 19 off of Buckethead land 2. Greatest rock guitar solo. Listen to it.

C) **** GnR

if he has played with bootsy, then his 'feel' is great.

although I do feel on much of his earlier albums he does lack feel, listen to Elephant Man's Alarm Clock if you can get ahold of it, the Lurker at the Threshold suite is amazing.
