Well, this is certainly bizarre ... the guy claims he prototyped it during his lunch hour, and you can have it for only ... uh ... $300,000 (why didn't I think of that? Duh.)

Exactly, bad english notwithstanding.

It's funny that the auction doesn't say WHAT the invention is supposed to do...

Sounds like "Give me $300,000 and I'll sell you the secret to becoming wealthy." The secret is putting an ad out asking for $300,000 and actually finding someone stupid enough to give it to you.

I was starting to get a little worried, but felt better once he pointed out that it would pass ALL safety tests.

I like that he noted that some of the internet invention sites seemed a bit "dodgy", while in contrast, he's put up an auction on eBay for an unknown item that's verified by he and his friend. Some people defy all logic.

"This is the best invention ever."
'What does it do?'
"It passes all safety tests!"

Let me know if anyone here buys it

that must have been a pretty hefty e-bay listing fee.

Well...it works the same on guitar bass and piano...Not too many parts that can do all that, and interchangeably too. I'm going to guess it's something corny like a neck mount sheet music holder or drink caddy or something.

At that price it'd better be a robotic musiscian, excellent, a guitarist with a mute button! Oh wait, no moving parts, damn. Maybe it's a cupholder.

The winning bidder will receive:
-Drawings with dimensions
-Drawing of alternative designs
-Photos of prototype
-Description of how it works, with photos
-A signed declaration from me (and my friend) saying that
I’ve sold the invention and all of the rights to it.
-Plus anything else I can provide, just ask
300,000 and I don't even get what you made even though there is a real picture of it.

I've always wanted a peice of paper with someone's doodles on it.

Yup, I was just about to bid. Good thing I read this.

I've always wanted to give someone 300,000 for something that only has one picture and a no description of what it actually does.

The overall design is 100% different, looking more practical and appealing and again easier to use
No, It's called a Fender.

You mean he won't even give the prototype for the 300K?

Why does he need to keep it? is it a doorstop?

It's amazing how much this guy wrote. But he SAID NOTHING through all those words.

Funny auction.
