This is the final straw!!
Basically I had no other way of getting to my church gigs than getting a bus (I can't afford a car
) plus my church was really near a bus stop.
One day I was due for band and went off from my flat down towards the Haymarket, to the bus stop. Now my case is really awkward, at 4 1/2 feet long I'd like to add, so when the bus came it took a long time for me to get everything on board the bus.
Now more than one bus driver has gotten really huffy about this, and more recently I've been shouted at and had them often criticise me.
The thing that annoys me is that they're so kind and courteous towards mothers with prams (which are a lot bigger than my hard case!) and yet I've been given a lot of crap about my bass.
The other incident which really cheeses me off is that some passengers also have given me so much flack. Once I was called to evening band practice, and I got on the bus which was really busy. I tried my hardest to keep the case out of the way of other people as I had to stand in the aisle.
Then this oldish looking woman started mouthing off to me, saying that I shouldn't have brought the case on the bus and that I was 'inconsiderate and selfish'. Then after a little bit of time she reached her stop and got off, leaving me so upset.
