Not bad. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that the side with your picture has no info on it. If someone sees just that, they might not realize it's a business card.

Maybe put a summary of your contact info along the sides where you've got some room in the black part of the picture? For example, on the left side, put your "Milo Fultz - Upright and Electric Bass" and along the right side put your email address? At least that way there's something on the picture side that identifies it as a business card - and identifies you.

Oh, and I declined to vote since I don't think either choice applies. If you modify the poll, I'm voting "Carrots!"

I suggest that the phone/email font be smaller so both will fit on one line. To me, the way it is, it looks out of balance. Maybe a more elegant font would look more....elegant?

Also, using "bass" twice might be overkill. What would it look like using:
Upright & Electric Bass

You could also move your name over to the right and put in a bass clef sign.

Just my .02.

Here's a couple other examples:

I've since revamped it to fit on one side since then. Here it is now:

I would use the word "Acoustic" rather than "Upright", but that's just my personal preference.

Hmm...this intrigues me. I'll ask my upright/acoustic/double/ehatever bass players what their preference is. Thanks for the input!

That last version is quite cool.

I understand the comment about upright and acoustic. I don't think it's really critical, but without your photo, someone might infer "acoustic" as an acoustic guitar-type bass. As long as you keep the photo on there, people will always understand "acoustic" correctly.

I like the last one best. The image really helps.

Maybe just say Bass?

My business cards always said bass guitar/double bass.

Never had any confusion.

I think you should change your last name. "Fultz" just isn't doing it for me. The rest of the card looks great though.

Do you have a myspace page or a website with your music and/or gear? If you did I'd put that on there. If you don't then I would suggest getting one up so that people can hear your stuff. I've gotten gigs that way where otherwise I may not have. People have said they liked what they heard on one of my pages and so they hit me up for a gig.

Spend $7 and get yourself a real email address, even if the domain just forwards to your MySpace or something. My email address is mail@davemuscato.com and even though it just forwards to my Gmail account, it looks so much more professional than putting my Gmail address on my business cards.
