Buy Acoustic Guitar in Toronto?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking for a new acoustic for my wife. We're going to L&M and Steve's this weekend, but I'm looking for some other stores to check out as well.

Any ideas in Toronto with good selection and prices?

BTW - She likes the Epiphone EJ300 cause it's pretty, http://www.epiphone.com/default.asp?...CollectionID=9
But I think the body is a little too big for her. The price is in rage though and she certainly ain't getting the 2500.00 Gibson version! Any suggestions for something comparable that's just as pretty?

Mods - maybe wrong forum?

I live in East York, and my local store is pretty killer. It's located just east of Woodbine on Danforth, on the north side. It's called "The Twelfth Fret".

I'm not sure what part of T.O. you live in, but if these guys are close to you, they are definately worth the visit; their acoustic section is larger than their electric, though I'm not too sure which brands they carry.

Check out their site: http://www.12fret.com/

..and they have, IMX, the best set-up in Toronto.

EDIT: Steve's is a rip-off. I go there to try everything out, but I end up buying my stuff elsewhere.

Thanks Grimlock. I'm gonna check it out Saturday afternoon. Do they have more "budget" oriented items though? 500-600 is probably what I'd be looking at. Seeing the list of brands they carry it looks to be outta the price range!
