Man I messed up.
I went to my local GC today to check out pedals to see what I might like and want when building up my future board. But before I left I did make my rounds and checked out the bass room. As usual, crap...crap...crap...Markbass SD800 thrown under a pile of hard plastic cases...Good job GC...crap...crap.
Then I finally noticed near the back that they had not one, but two Markbass 4x10`s that were being sold as used for only $500. I thought there was no way these puppies were being sold for so cheap unless they had some major flaws, but after checking the cosmetics and having played them I came to the conclusion that these cabs were in near perfect condition for a steal of a price. I asked the manager what was up and he just said that a guy traded them in because he didn`t dig the tone(or the fact that they are lighter than air

) and that was that.
Now why am I telling you guys this?
Well I originally wanted to build up my rig and I was really considering a MB 4x10 with a 1x15 added on, but the price for the 4x10`s at that time were damn near $1,000 a piece so I just settled with a nice 6x10 from MB.
So now I`m asking all you guys - who else gave up on their "dream rig" because of money issues at one time, only to later find the exact same rig for a bargain AFTER you`ve already gone another way?
