Question Buzzing string stoped with new strings.

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought an Epi. Thunderbird a few months back and the G string around the 2nd fret to the 5th fret would buzz. I didn't want to mess with the action or trust rod, so I left it as is. Well this past weekend I changed the strings. Well to my suprise it doesn't buzz anymore.

So my question to the experts would be why? What made it stop?

Cheers.

Yea, changing strings would change the tension and thus the setup. You may have lucked into a good setup through your string change.

I switched them with Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky strings. I had the guy switch the .85 with an .80. So the strings were the same gauge. I loved the way it sounded before, but now I really love it.

Im thinking for the string buzz going away might because I have more string wraps then what the origanal strings were.
Im just happy that its gone and I didn't have to do any tweaking.
