C.O.D. Shipping in Canada

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey folks, I have an epiphone rivoli that I was selling locally adn was contacted by someone out of town who wants it shipping to them. Does anyone have any experience with collection on delivery sales within their country? I am in Canada. I am a little weary as to getting scammed. So anything on the subject is helpful. Chances are I will put the item on eBay.

Lemme guess, craigslist or canadian equivalent? Leary is good. Wary doesn't hurt either.

No way do I ship your item. I use Talkbass for selling and get Paypal upfront. If I use Kijiji it is local, in person, cash upfront. 1/2 guessing it is a scam.

I've shipped from stuff from Kijiji and had no problems. COD is fine, that's what I use for this. Just ask the guy to call you to be sure sure it's a real person. If he's not really interested he will not take the time to call you.

If you are wondering about extra costs, this site, TheFinalCost.com - Canadian total shipping fees calculator (brokerage, duty, customs) does an excellent job on estimating.
