If you haven't seen the movie Cadillac Records, go out and rent the DVD right away. Any fan of blues and and early rock and roll will eat this up.
"Cadillac Records" was the nickname for Chess records. "If you hang around here long enough, you'll get a Cadillac" one of the characters says.
Chess records brought us Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Etta James, Chuck Berry, Willie Dixon etc. This is their story along with Leonard Chess who made it all happen. Besides the story line, the music is just great! |
