Calling bassists aged 12-19...

Hey there Right, for my design class I've taken up the task of designing and making a display stand, to be used in a guitar shop, for a bass. The specification states it has to appeal to teenage bass players, and reflect the theme of music.

I've got some main ideas for the design, but thats not really the point. What I'd really like to know is what model basses do 12-19 year olds own? I need to know this basically so I can see the measurements of a variety of basses typical to the teen bassist, and find the most suitable way of designing the stand. So - fire away

My primary is a 6 string Brawley. I also have a Squier Affinity P-bass (fretless) and a 5 string Cort.

So the question is what size should you make?

I'm pretty much looking for the optimum size that could fit basically any bass. I'm also trying to get an idea of what style to make it in by seeing the kinda of basses teens own. Any suggestions on that would also be greatly appreciated. It can be centered around a specific bassist or just music in general.

When I was in that age range (I'm 20 now), I had two Jazz Basses. Now, I've got a Jazz Bass, a MusicMan StingRay5, and a Yamaha BB404.

Fender Aerodyne. I think a lot of teens like fender-influenced designs.

Ibanez BTB 400QM (sold)
SX BG-150 fretless (ash J-bass....sadly also sold)
SX P-bass (with fretless neck installed afterwards)
