Can anyone recommend a good non-leather strap to counteract neck dive?

Hey guys. Lately I've been wrestling with my Ibanez Artcore AFB200 hollow-body because of its obnoxious neck dive. I love the bass to death, but every time I wear it, the bass slides down until the neck is pointing toward the ground. I've been reading around on Talkbass and it seems like one of the best ways to counteract this is to get a good strap with a grippy underside to prevent it from sliding around on my shoulder.

Here's the rub, though: I'd rather not have a leather strap due to personal reasons. Do you guys know of any good straps out there that would help me out that aren't made out of leather? If not, I'll keep brainstorming and see if I can come up with some other way to fix this, but thanks in advance for your help.

Pro Comfort Strap has always worked for me. Neoprene with double stitching for extra durability and it puts your bass on a diet! Complete transfer of weight across the back and evens out the balance of the bass. I used it with my old tbird bass and neck dive was minimal. Get the Bass version.

I've got one of these; the model that 'grips'. Plenty reliable and very comfortable. Of course, make your own oppinion on the graphics--I am blind, so...whatever.

Leather straps with a suede like underside helps to keep the from strap sliding around. Provides a little more grip.

You could use calculus and interpretive dance to shorten the time period and expand the species so that recently dispatched cows would become copacetic.

BTW, my Sadowsky neoprene strap is the most comfortable one I own.

I was going to suggest swapping tuners, but see how the strap button is no where near the 12th fret? This is your massive neck dive issue, not weight balance.

A sticky (neoprene, etc) strap will hopefully help reduce the neck dive.

I got one of those Reunion straps on a whim. It was advertised as the "world's most comfortable guitar strap" made of 100% merino wool. It actually is very comfortable, and holds the instrument in place and etc., although I wish the holes for the strap pins were bigger.

I went with a basic nylon strap, and then I bought this:

I cut a strip and used fabric glue to attach it to the underside of the strap where my shoulder makes contact. Works like a charm!

and the Neotech Mega Bass Strap



will work for you and both are very very comfy...

I own both and favor the Neotech....however for super long sweaty gigs i go with the Comfort Strapp usually
