Capo for Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Hopefully I put this in the right section, Im looking at getting a capo for Bass. Been looking at the Dunlop Trigger Capo, easy on easy off. Anyone have experience with these or recommend something that will work well? I tune a whole step down DGCF and would like the capo to go on for standard songs. Any help appreciated.

I use the Shubb Lite (http://www.shubb.com/capos/lite.html). I was sceptical at first, but even the lightweight aerospace aluminum could handle the strings (50-105 D'addario Chromes) easily.

I think it's safe to say nearly every brand will work.

I use planet waves NS capo and it works fine.

Anyway, as suggested above, I think any decent type would work.

I swear I'm not trying to be a smartass, But why would you want to use a capo on a bass?

51/2 hours and 8 replies later, it had to come out.

FWIW I use a Kyser capo, I sometimes sit in with a band that plays D standard and just use my lo B 5 string capoed on the 3rd fret so i don't have to transpose licks on the spot.
