Carl Thompson Customer Service

Sign in to disble this ad
What's up with the FAQ on his site, judging by this it doesn't look like he's too good with customers, especially for a custom builder:

"It is standard operating procedure to speak with Carl twice throughout the entire process: Once for the order, and once when the instrument is completed."

He does alot through "Aaron", and looks to be hard to get hold of. The other builders come off as friendly and personnable.

I'd expect some better service from the "Stradivarius of electric basses"

Although, this could all be misleading, or misinterpreted by me.

Any experience?

EDIT: Just read an interview on his site, most of it anyway, that guy really doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about, although i suppose if he's good enough for Stanley Clarke...

Well since he stopped taking orders, I guess you won't even need to ponder his customer service.

Did you really have the scratch to order one anyway?

Darrin Huff should satisfy your CT itch...

Shocked at what? Someone making their own rules?
