I'm just wondering, what other stuff has Carter done outside the DMB? I know he's a great drummer from that stuff, but I want to see what else he can do.
I've seen a 2 minute sample clip from the DVD he did with Vic Wooten, "Making Music", and judging by what I saw, he has a lot to offer as a musician.
So what else, if anything, has he done and with whom?
Just curious.

His other gig before DMB was a regional East coast fusion band called Secrets.

He's also done at least one guest appearance that I know of, on Santana's Supernatural.

And he has a drum instruction video called Under the Table and Drumming.

Carter is just simply awesome. IMHO he is what makes the DMB happen.

In Montana they have signs over bars that say,"Before engaging your mouth, make sure your mind is in gear!"

Thanks guys, that helps a lot.
But does anyone have any specific suggestions? Have you actually heard his stuff with Secrets? I'm definitely gonna be looking into these suggestions and drummerworld though. Thanks.

The only Secrets' album he played on was sold at their shows...on cassette only.
Those were the days; pop into Hopper's or The Jewish Mother, plunk down the $2 cover ...& sit about 5 feet away from Keith Horne & Carter.

Wow - Carter is my favorite drummer and Keith Horne my favorite bass player. Can't imagine seeing them play together...

In the Carter Beauford Video - Under The Table And Drumming Vol.1,at the beginning of the video there's a snippet that features a live performance(old clip)from the group Secrets(that also features Bass talent Keith Horne).

Horne & Carter weren't the only talents in Secrets...
The first album had-
John D'earth (Jazz trumpet virtuoso...has some nice solo discs)
Butch Taylor-keys (currently with DMB)
Dane Bryant-keys (last I heard was with Clint Black)

Tim Reynold (guitar, still with DMB?)eventually came on-board.
