Carvin BR12X

Hey guys, I posted this over at HC, but got no takers.

I ordered a Carvin BR12X (just the speaker, not the cab). It came in, but doesn't look the same as in the pic. I'm thinking they either changed up the style, or I got the wrong speaker. Can someone shed some light?

Ok, called Carvin, they said they changed up the design a bit. My fingers are crossed just in case.

just be glad you got the BRX series, and not the redline series. All i've had is problems.

Carvin didn't change the design, Eminence did. Those look like the original Deltalite and Deltalite II, respectively. If so, the new one is reputedly a much better bass driver.

Actually, that's what the guy said. I just didn't feel like typing it all out.

So the BRX line is decent? This is more for monitoring my bass on stage through this:



No sound from the speaker will be going through the PA.
