Case for a Wishbass 6

Sign in to disble this ad
I just got a Wishbass 6 string fretless that I bought from bobwestbrook here on TB. Now I need to buy a new case for it since it doesn't fit any of my current cases. Any suggestions?

Thanks
CK

My wishbass 4 (of a very similar design to yours) fits (JUST) in an Ashton gig bag...

How do those things play? I see them pretty regularly on eBay and have thought of buying one but I don't know anything about them.

The case I'd put it in is green and made of metal and gets picked up by a big truck once a week... kidding!

Look for the cases that don't have a defined neck section, like those semi-triangular gigbags that are pretty common for guitar. You can still find them for bass from time to time, and they fit pretty much anything, and they're usually cheap. Like this:

(thank you google)

Or, as much as I hate them, those gaudy coffin shaped cases fit anything as long as you don't mind your instrument flopping around in it.

I have a coffin case and it didn't fit. I don't want a bag I want a hard case.

I don't know of a quitar center close to me and I would really like a hard case.

I wanted to say that but thought it was a bit mean. I'm glad you did though

my hyper 4 fits nicely in the $20 musician's friend dreadnaught bag. The one with the detachable backpack & the water bottle side bag. Very heavy bag, which was surprising. Might be able to find a dreadnaught hard case and it'll fit?

Coffin Case for Wishbass

I have two hypers, a fantasy, and a scroll. They all fit nicely (with a strategically placed piece of foam under the string holes at the rear) in a coffin case model number 200-VX. I bought mine at the local guitar center, but several websites have them as well.
