Yes... it's pretty much what the title says. My cat sprayed the inside of the place that my Modulus Q5 calls home. It stinks so bad, I do not want to put my bass back in there. This happened a few months ago and I dont know what to do (short of ordering a new case). I scrubbed the inside of the bass case with mild soap and rag, followed up with Febreeze and a little soaking in the sun. It hasn't helped. Anyone else unlucky enough to have had this experience? Also, the cat has been permanently displaced, well...except for the urine .

| | | At least you didn't use 409. It's a podent mix that'll turn your case into a bio-weapon. Try using Oxyclean with boiled hot water, that's how I clean my carpet when the pets do their business on it. If that doesn't work, go to the pet store to buy some enzyme. http://www.petsmart.com/global/searc...N=2033673&Ne=2 |

It will take a few treatments, but eventually it will work. Soak it real good! VERY IMPORTANT- DO NOT use any cleaner that is ammonia based. Not only will it make the smell worse, but it will probably make it so that it never comes out. I had a cat that had a severe bladder infection. She peed on my 2 week old car's cloth seat on the way to the vet. I thought it was ruined. About ten treatments with NM later, the smell was completely gone.

| | | | Either get some pet oder remover-you can find it just about anywhere; or look in a store's baby/infant department for this stuff called "Totally Toddler." That s*** is awesome! |

if that happened to me i would just throw the case out, no matter of cleaning would make that suitable to put a bass in ever again.

I've also gotten rotten, split milk out of my car upholstery with it.
Wash and rinse the inside of your case with soap and water, again. (On that velvet finish, I'd use shampoo, or Woolite.) Then soak a wet rag in the vinegar, and wash it with that. Then, for good measure, do it again. Set it out in the sunshine to dry.

Same result - I waved bye-bye as it sat in it's new cage at the pound.

I have a defective cat who pisses on all manner of stuff. First, borrow a home steam cleaning machine with an attachment arm and steam clean the case out. I usually do it twice - once with soap and one after that without as a second rinse. This will help immensely. After that you can try a product called ZERO ODOR to get rid of any lingering stink. Best stuff out there.
Good luck!

| | | I'll say it again: TOTALLY TODDLER! That stuff could take the stink off a skunk!
I also had a cat that peed everywhere, including a case. The TT stuff got rid of the smell immediately. Where I live, I can only find it K-Mart, so I don't know if it's a K-Mart brand thing or if you can get it anywhere. Try a Toys R Us too. Seriously, the stuff WORKS!
My peeing cat was named Victor; yes, he was named after that Victor (he had a bro named Fripp ). I don't know if his namesake has a problem peeing in Bela's banjo cases or not... |
