Cello / Double Bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
Are the cello and double bass the same instrument and just different names? Or like the fiddle/violin which are the same instrument but played differently? Or just 2 completley different instruments?

This has been bugging me for a while lol

Thanks

A DB is much bigger than cello. The viola, violin, cello, and double bass are all essentially the same shape, but increasingly larger in size. They each play in an increasingly lower register accordingly.
