Chad Kroeger gets charged with impaired driving...

Sign in to disble this ad
Kroeger lives down the road from me, and it's dissapointing, although not surprising, to see he's been charged with impaired driving. Granted, Canadian laws say you are innocent until proven guilty, but a more accurate statement would be you're innocent until your lawyers can't find a loop-hole with the case law they've fabricated to get guilty people off. I've always wondered why such talented people have such struggles with life and have such a disregard for other people's, and their own safety. I think it speaks volumes about his character, or lack of, when instead of using his talent, time, and fame to be a role model, he's out getting wasted, and more importantly driving after drinking.

I wasn't. I didn't know who he was, but I know the band. I hope he gets extra jail time for his music.

hahaha... yes, an extra 25 years for the music, maybe their music is the most serious crime.

AHAHAHAHA were they an opening band or the main show? lol festivel maybe?

were they opening for slayer or something? haha

i would have probably done the same thing, walked off stage i mean, when i go to a show and the opening band sucks ill wait it out,to show my respect for them being up there, and attempting to entertain people.

but its almost like dinamics on an album or set list, u need something slow next to something fast to make it sound faster, nickleback before anything will greatly raise the quality level of the next band

I shared a jam spot with these guys, they're decent guys and Chad, despite this recent event which could happen to almost anyone (did they even reveal what his BAC supposedly was?), works damn hard at music when he could just be sitting around a pool with whores and mounds of coke. In fact he still works much harder at it than those who are, figuratively or literally, casting stones.

Don't like their music? Get your stuff on the top-10 and knock them off the charts. Pretty simple.

Personally, I don't think anyone should get rocks thrown at them. But your comments above concern me. "Could happen to almost anyone!" Pardon? No, it could maybe happen to you. And that supposedly makes it okay? The legal limit is 80 mgs % and you don't get charged until you are at 100 or over, or you refuse to blow. "Did they even reveal what his BAC supposedly was?" Oh, so you can be a little pissed driving and that's okay...where have you been? Who said he doesn't work damn hard at music? And the line about sitting around with whores and mounds of coke makes even less sense ??? "I'm sickened that humans are still this barbarrick." And I'm sickened that people still drink and drive and people get killed or maimed and they still think it's cool.

I'm not a fan of Nickelback either, but I do love Mike Kroeger's tone.
