Hello,

I have a question regarding pickguards, I have a MIM precision deluxe active special, and the pickguard is gold-brown, and what I know you cant replace it with for example a pickguard from a regular precision model. Then the question is, have any one tryed to paint a pickguard, or does anyone know if there is pickguard replacements for Precision deluxe active special on the market ?

Best

I have spraypainted my ugly red J pickguard black matte with a Warhammer basecoat can. Turned quite ok, I like the combination of white pickups, deep red bass and matte black.

Thanks! Some said that its kind of difficult to get the paint to stay, because of the plastic material in those pickguards, but you havent got any problems with that ?

Not really, I'd suggest you to look for a paintstore and explain exactly to the salesman what you are looking for.

But, I play fingerstyle,so I can imagine a heavy pickplayer having trouble with the paint staying on.
