Yeah, you hit it on the head. They stepped it up just to keep me from quitting (they even said so). As stated earlier, bass players here in the Baltimore area are in VERY high demand and they know it will be very hard to get another if not impossible if they don't have their sh1t together. I REALLY like the guys I'm with now. Everybody gets along and there are no egos (a tough find in a band). A few of them are just kind of lazy which is a big issue for me but they are working very hard at the moment. Will it last??? Don't know. I'm hoping that if I do end up staying and we get some gigs under our belt, it would energize them into keep the practice pace up. If not, I guess I'll be looking again.
Then again, I may really like this new band and go with them (if they even take me as there apparently are others auditioning). Man, why did I get myself in this jackpot (because my band members were lazy that's why

). The better question is why did they have to pick up the pace and foil my plan!
