Chapman Stick?

I saw a craigslist listing urgently seeking a "Chapman Stick" player. I googled it and there it was. There are a variety of models, including a "bass" Chapman Stick. Can anyone shed any light on how you play something like this? Here's the "bass":

As far as how it's tuned and what not I have no idea, but there's plenty of youtube videos of folks playin' their sticks. Here's one of my faves.

wow- great clips, thanks for posting them. How the heck didn't I know about this. Anyone here ever played one, particularly as a bass instrument (like in the Tony Levin clip)?

Tony Levin was one of the original users/innovators with it IIRC.

Basically a giant fretboard for tapping.

Never had the opportunity but have wanted one for many years. I play lots of tap style so it really interests me.
