Not bad. But I'm really cheap. There's gotta be something cheaper.

Go to 7 Eleven or Circle K or your local convenience store and get a 32 ounce cup. Then go to Home Depot or Lowes or your local home improvement store and get a role of Duck Tape. Then duck tape the cup to your mic stand. That's pretty easy and about 5 bucks and about an hour of work including the travel time.

Wow, and I thought I *WAS* cheap

I prefer the Velcro idea to the duct tape. That way you can remove it to store the stand.

I don't think Velcro is in the budget.

Look at this - Dudepit supergenius suggestion

A guy on the Dudepit suggested a water bottle holder from a bike held in place by a hose clamp. Pure genius! Total investment $2.00

Water bottle holder from bike..............................$0.00
hose clamps from Ace........................................$2.00
Mic stand able to hold beers (a dupelganger).........priceless
