| On an off note for the cheapo daters right at the South Eastern edge of Northwestern University I think on Sheridan? theres a parking lot that you can park in that overlooks the city skyline and the beach. Although you need to stay within view of your car because the campus police patrols they generally will let you stay there as long as you aren't blatantly having sex or drinking/doing drugs. Its a pretty damn romantic spot to go after dinner and make out/walk on the beach.
Last GF showed me it and it has led to GREAT SUCCESS! on a couple occasions. Just thought I'd throw it out there. GL on your date man.
Oh and Wrigleyville now has a comedy club (IO Theater) that is pretty badass the few times I went there. And yes I am aware this is slightly OT not being about jazz but hey, more options for date = better.
