The Chicken

Hey everybody.

This' my first thread, and I was not quite sure were to post it...but here it is

I'm going to play this tune called "the chicken" at an audition, but I need to find out who originally wrote it. Among others, it has been performed by Jaco Pastorius.
If any of you know his name, it would be a big help.

Oh - real first name Alfred - but nobody calls him that!!

He was touring more recently with Van Morrison - playing Sax and acting as musical director!

Man! If it's the same "The Chicken" as I'm thinking of, it's also been recorded on Dave Weckl's "Live (And Very Plugged In)" album, (disc 2). It kicks butt! Check it out.

It's one of my favorite tunes. I've played it hundreds of times with various groups on various gigs. It's also my ringtone.
