Chris Broderick, formerly of Nevermore and Jag Panzer, has replaced Glen Drover in the band as of the 14th of this month, so it turns out. Megadeth has had great guitarists over the years, but I have to say that Broderick is definately the best all around player since Chris Poland left. Examples of Broderick's playing are all over the internet, so they can speak for themselves. I know that Broderick is a major advocate of the 7 string guitar, and isn't afraid to use its full capabilities among other things, so my only question is this. Will Mustaine let Broderick exercise his full potential in the band, or will Mustaine have a tight leash on Broderick? Mustaine and Broderick definately have the potential to be one of metal's finest guitar duos in a very long time, so only time will tell what happens. |

I still like alot of Megadeth's material, but the guy doesn't give credit where credit is due. http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/bla...wsitemID=88511 |

I still think technically speaking Marty Friedman was the best, and I couldn't see where the leash was that tight on him, especially during the Rust in Piece era. Maybe the leash tightened a bit later on, but RIP was one of the best 'technical thrash' albums ever. But I'm looking forward to the new Mega sound with CB. |

Dave is the master behind the music, he IS Megadeth.
Chris seems to be a cool fit, and his stint in nevermore impress me as well I can't wait to see them in may! |

| | | | In an interview Dave compared meeting Chris to when Randy Rhoads met Ozzy. I think they will be a great guitar duo. But of course, it is gonna be Dave's way or no way. But hey, would they make the same music if it weren't that way? I've seen Megadeth two times with Drover and Broderick, and I would have to say I like Broderick more (with all do respect). |
