Christmas parcel arrived - bits and pieces

Woohoo! In addition to my Markbass 151P cab that I spoilt myself with this Christmas, I also did a bit of shopping online at Thomann.de for some other things to go under the tree. A bit late, as it happened, because they only arrived today.

Hercules Mini Stand - this is a really sturdy little stand. I already have the stage version and it's great, but too big to go in a gig bag. This will do really nicely and seems to be hard to topple over for such a small stand. This will be coming with me on most gigs now, I think.

Warwick Rock Bag - I usually use a hard case, but when travelling as light as possible for awkward load ins then a bag is easier and the one I already own is a bit flimsy (the cheapest Ritter bag). This Rockbag is in a different league, much more heavily padded (30mm thick, it says) and generally seems much more gutsy. Like the Ritter, though, it has plenty of storage pockets which means you can cram stuff in there and use a smaller lighter holdall for the rest of your stuff. Another nice buy, methinks.

Markbass bass holder - bought for similar reasons to the lighter, smaller stand. Works well provided your rig is sufficiently tall to attach it high enough. When I use my extension cab (see above) with my 102P combo this will work well, but when travelling light (also see above ) with just the combo I can't use it, which sort of defeats the object. Oh well, it'll probably be used at some point and it's got Markbass written on it so it's got to be good.

Spare Shure lead - to connect bass to wireless body pack. Because it's best to be Shure. Sorry 'bout that.

So, thank you Santa. Even though I bought it all myself.
