I always liked Chuck's 2 gig rules:
1. Get cash up front
2. Always carry a gun

I've experienced #1 a few times, never #2.

Happy Birthday Chuck! Remember that time you walked by me in the airport in St. Louis? Eh, probably not...

As John Lennon once said... If you tried to give Rock and Roll another name, you might call it 'Chuck Berry'. Nuff said...
Happy Birthday, Chuck and I wish you many more in good health.
And Thanks for inspiring all of us for so many years. Peace )-(

BTW.... I highly recommend his autobiography....

Happy Birthday Chuck! Had the opportunity to play with him in Honolulu in the early seventies. I was playing with Bo Diddley and it was a double bill. Our group consisting of my wife and I plus drummer played an opening set and then one and a half hours with Bo and then Chuck did a two hour set to outdo Diddley. Just realized Chuck is the same age as my Dad who I've played with as well. He's still kickin' the drums at his age.
