CL audition ad oddity
 

So a CL ad has been popping up in our "musicians" section here in NH, saying that a band is looking for a bassist and guitarist. There's a picture showing a guy and two girls and some links. I thought about contacting them, but here's the odd thing; the facebook link shows this group having (multiple) gigs in Michigan. Why are they advertising for a bassist in New Hampshire? Has the whole band moved out here? Or do they think someone's going to move cross-country to join their obscure originals project? Does CL let you spam ads across all states? Anyone else seen anything like this?

A shot in the dark. Are they goth old timetable looking and the guy is tall blonde (edit he's not blonde in the picture) smoking with glasses? A saw a similar ad on my CL.

Second edit: I am pretty sure we are talking about the same band. I went on their page and they have gigs in Michigan. They must just be able to spam across all CL or they are having someone do it for them.

Maybe call them and see what happens. If they are "phishing" or something, you would suss it out quickly. No harm done. CL doesn't let you post one time all over, but you could post in every city individually. Maybe they are moving or just moved to your state?
Seems like a lot of work for a scam.
On a side note.. Lucky you. There isn't squat for bassists in my town right now on CL.

Yeah Megas3300 (homey!) It's been bleak here in Cincy. Been trying to find a band for weeks now.

Yeah, the goth band. Skeleton something or other, or maybe that was one of their songs. So it's not just here in NH, they're spamming elsewhere as well. Odd.

I emailed them that exact question months ago and the guy said that he doesn't know why these ads are popping up everywhere but assumes it is a hoax.
We exchanged a few emails. Decent guy.
