I just picked up this dvd tonight and it was really great. Noel redding seemed really negative in the moments he talked. He almost still seemed to hold a grudge with hendrix. When they talked bout hendrix covering All along the watchtower , Redding got the last word and he said " I like dylan's version much better". I found his statements funny. There was a very awesome clip of the Experience playing Voodoo Child SLight Return on the BBC around 69 with Noel ripping it up on the bass. Another great part of the dvd was Mike Finnigan playing his organ parts from "RAiny DAy".
-Also inside the dvd pack was a separate dvd featuring clips from all the classic albums and they were great. They showed Herbie Flowers doing his basslines from Walk on the Wildside by Lou Reed and Chuck rainey bringing the funk on Aja by Steely DAn
Great series

Noel was very bitter about two things...being replaced by Billy Cox, and the failure of his band Fat Mattress. I think he loved the Hendrix band, but hated being thought of as a second fiddle.

From what I've heard from Noel's friends (and mine) in Ireland, you are pretty close to the mark on that statement.
